120th read of 2025:
A Gentleman's Gentleman by TJ Alexander
I enjoyed the heck out of this book, and I love that Alexander has forayed into historicals. In so many ways, Christopher was a very ordinary romance hero, forced through inheritance drama to marry before 25 to maintain his Earldom.
He goes to find a bride and hates it. Christopher gets into shenanigans (a lady’s bedroom! a carriage race with a Duke shooting at him!), and he must give up something huge for something more. (And it’s not his manhood!)
I loved the ending so much, as it reinforced Christopher as a Romance hero.
