#WritersCoffeeClub 24. Do you have a writerly "third place"?
Like a church? For erotic romance writing? From the pews?
I don't think they'd be too keen on that.
Author of very smutty yet wholesome romance books.
18+ only. DMs welcome.

#WritersCoffeeClub 22. How do you organise your notes? (No notes?)
Currently badly. WIPs are on pause, but I still get random ideas about them. So I just quickly open WIP's file, append cryptic note, and close file.
Last week, I realized book 3's guest character has a lapsed religious upbringing. When to mention that takes more thought.
When I resume writing, I'll first have to go through all those notes, and think about what to do with each, and where.
#WordWeavers 21. Where does your MC fall, on a scale of timid to recklessly brave?
"Seducing Audrey" is about MMC narrator getting a do-over, to be less timid, and take his shot with beloved pal FMC.
Along the way, they're often towards the reckless end of the scale.
Including in how early milestone moments happen. And in later adventures, such as when messing around while working a trade show booth.
#WordWeavers 20. How much romance is in your story?
The main story, "Seducing Audrey," is about a platonic romance turning non-platonic.
The mechanism is to win her over via adult activities.
The explicit details of the activities might upstage the romantic arc, but I think it's also present.
When I got my boyfriend a prototype of the latest, immersive game system for his birthday, I never could have expected what would happen. He accidentally brought a power-up back with him after his last game. It's the kind that makes characters huge. I can't wait for us to use it together!
Boyfriend's Power-Up Makes Him HUGE! is available today!

#WordWeavers 14. Is selling your work for money important to you when you write?
Yes. I have 3 more half-written WIPs in the series, but I'd only finish writing them for an audience, not for me. It's target and validation.
If I knew a great venue for writing for an audience, yet giving it away free, I'd consider it.
Mixed feelings. Some better writers make significant income from writing, and I don't want to imply that books don't have value.
#WritersCoffeeClub 10. How informal is your prose? Is there a limit to informality?
Book 1 opening sentence: "I'm Mike."
In school, my prose was more formal and flowery.
Today, I'm just happy if my smutty romance doesn't sound like an engineering specification.
For book 4 WIP, which opens with "i'm Audrey", I will have to relearn writing skills I forgot, and learn new ones.
