Two of my favouritest games I've made.

Yesterday I watched a music video of #jungle/#dnb from 90s video games. One game's music and gameplay grabbed me: a PC/PSX racer called #Rollcage, in which you drive upside down at 400+kph and blast your opponents with missiles.
It's surprisingly easy to get working in 2023. One of the original programmers retained the source code, and released a modernized version called #RollcageRedux, which even works on Linux via #Wine.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. The car physics are like hurling a jet-propelled rollerskate down a bumpy road, steering with rubber bands. The racetrack is a shifting maze of fires, explosions, and rubble. Staying in control long enough to win a race -- or a series of races -- feels like a victory against long odds.
It's fun. I rarely feel this kind of suspense in a racing game.
Rollcage on PS1 is still the best video game OST of all time (GTA doesn't count)
