Vandaag teruggereden naar NL, vanuit Hirtshals Denemarken over de E45. In #denemarken verspreid langs het weggedeelte waar ik reed: 11 dode dassen, 1 dood reekalf en 1 dode eekhoorn geteld. #roadkills. Nergens een #ecoduct. En dan heb natuurlijk lang niet alles gezien. #nature

Glad nothing happened to the man but hey, Deccan Herald, the "nilgai collided with the vehicle"?? Really? It's the vehicle that collided with the poor animal. And there's no mention of what happened to the poor nilgai!

Female elephant dies after being hit by lorry at Bandipur tiger reserve

A female elephant has died after it was hit by a lorry on NH 766 which passes via Bandipur tiger reserve on Tuesday night. A Coimbatore-based empty lorry with Tamil Nadu registration number (TN 99 C 7677) which was returning from Kerala after unloading goods hit the elephant which was crossing the road in Maddur range, Gundlupet sub division, according to G Ravindra, ACF, Gundlupet sub-division, Bandipur tiger reserve.
