Yesterday I completed the 160 km (100 mile) #TourdeBeara #cycling sportive. It tied my longest distance ride (#RingofClaire) and set a PB in elevation with 7690 ft of climbing.

The route took us past the Caha pass, and the Healy Pass (twice) and along the coast near Allihies. I had done most of the route before when I did the #RingofBeara, and it was nice seeing the sights again.

The weather was a mix of rain and sun, but mostly wet. My legs were dead at the end, but I did it!

I cycled 140km this Saturday as part of the #RingofBeara ride. It was a tough spin given the windy/rainy conditions, but enjoyable nonetheless. I had an opportunity to ride with a group from the #Dublin Fire Brigade for the first 30 miles or so, which helped save my legs for the climbing later. I also appreciated the many signs that were put up on the course with motivational phrases like "there is beer at the end" and "what comes up, must come down".

Another view at #trafraskstrand. I like the way, the #rocks are formed by millions of tides.

...The Lady Ellen...

If you drive the #ringofbeara, you probably will see this small boat and the picturesque #landscape around.

It's worth taking a break (and of course taking some pictures) and make a small walk around. Every inch a discovery of astonishing #nature #artwork
