@tante The beautiful irony here consists of all the following good, and more:
1. This is #recycleMode in all the ways Sonos's so-called recycle mode wasn't. And that's a good thing.
2. Anyone with the chops can build a permanently accessible native app around this api.
Which would give users who can obtain this speaker set used in the not-too-distant future a viable, opensource and accessible wireless audio setup. Up yours, Sonos!
@fastfinge So Sonos has essentially pulled #recycleMode on prior existing accessibility, and this time (unlike the actual #recycleMode scandal, there was no 21 day countdown until sudden removal of functionality. Oh, and of course, #recycleMode broke things for everyone, while this breaks things for not enough people to get a rise out of mainstream technology review sites.

oh, and #Sonos used to brick your speakers if you set them to #RecycleMode to trade them in: https://www.theverge.com/2020/3/5/21166777/sonos-ending-recycle-mode-trade-up-program-sustainability

Which JBL speakers do you use?
