8th Raw Materials Week focuses on Critical Raw Materials Act

The 8th Raw Materials Week brings together a range of stakeholders to discuss raw materials policies and initiatives and to provide an overview of ongoing EU activities in this sector. It includes the 10th annual High-Level Conference of the Europe Innovation Partnership (EIP) on raw materials.

Der Besuch der #RawMaterialsWeek in Brüssel letzte Woche lässt mich mit gemischten Gefühlen zurück. Auf der einen Seite einige tolle Kolleg*innen erstmals in Persona getroffen. Auch das stetige Einbringen von Verbrauchsreduktion und Menschenrechtsstandards beim Abbau von Rohstoffen durch NGOs war gut (#Rohstoffwende). Auf der anderen Seite wurde auch klar, wie weit der politischen Betrieb (Kommission, z.T. Abgeordnete) von diesen Forderungen entfernt sind. Bergbau in Europa wird gepusht.
