The great thing about visiting #NationalTrust gardens is that sometimes you come across something that you have no idea what it is...

Take this tree below. I immediately thought that it looked a bit like an evergreen magnolia or even a cherry, but the leaves weren't right.

Turns out it's an Emmenopterys henri from China.

Incredibly rare in cultivation and beautiful.

Made our day. ☺️
