@rozie It's not useful for anything except a proof of concept. I'm not a mathematician, but from what I can understand it shows that cracking a whole class of encryption algorithm can be cracked using quantum annealing. This is different from the 'q-bit' based quantum computers and it is thought that the technology will scale a lot more easily, because quantum annealing doesn't suffer from the "more bits more errors" problem that other quantum computers do.
