My last evening in Long Beach ended surrounded by many people from the community ✨

A final moment to relax after the conference, but also another chance to keep chatting, exchange thoughts, and spend a little more time together with many of the people I met here during PyCon US 2026 🙂

This evening REVSYS hosted the PyCon US after party here in Long Beach 🎉

Thanks to @frank and @webology for creating another opportunity to meet people, continue conversations after the conference closing, exchange ideas, and simply spend time together with the community ✨

After the closing session this afternoon, several conferences and community initiatives from around the world were presented on stage 🌍✨

I also had the chance to go on stage to briefly talk about @pycon 🇮🇹 and Django on the Med 🏖️

Well I finally went to #pycon and it exceeded expectations. It's been a long time since I've done the conference thing - the community overwhelmed me with its heart, and I've come away from it with a lot more optimism than I've had in a long time.

Of course I also had three wonderful runs and drank in the Very Not Sonoma County sights.

And now it’s time for the closing session of PyCon US 2026, presented by Elaine Wong ✨

Hard to believe these intense and beautiful conference days are already coming to an end.

Currently following the “Python Software Foundation Update” session at PyCon US 2026 led by Deb Nicholson ✨

Always interesting to hear updates about the PSF, the broader Python ecosystem, and all the work happening behind the scenes to support the community.

After lunch at PyCon US 2026 I joined the “Lazy imports and the art of interpreter procrastination” talk by Brittany Reynoso 🐍

I’ve been exploring lazy imports a lot recently, so it was great to hear the path from PEP 690 to PEP 810 and the new explicit approach planned for Python 3.15.

Listening to the Python Steering Council panel with Barry Warsaw, Donghee Na, Pablo Galindo Salgado, Savannah Ostrowski and Thomas Wouters at PyCon US 2026 🐍

One of those moments where you remember how much invisible work, discussion and coordination happens behind Python itself.

@Rachell @CodenameTim @djangonaut It was really beautiful to see so many friends from the Django community appearing in the photos during the final keynote of PyCon US 2026 💚🚀

It was also a funny surprise to suddenly appear in some of the photos shown during the keynote 😄

There were pictures with the other Djangonaut Space organizers and also with the team where I participated as a navigator 🚀✨
