Peter Yarrow, singer with folk legends Peter Paul & Mary and co-writer of "Puff the Magic Dragon," has died of cancer at age 86. @RollingStone looks at his career including his early years on the folk scene, his contribution to the peace movement, and his conviction for taking “immoral and improper liberties” with a 14-year-old, which he later said was during "an era of real indiscretion and mistakes by categorically male performers." A decade after this, he was pardoned by Jimmy Carter — Yarrow said in his application that he sought this so he would be better able to explain the incident to his children. Additional allegations emerged decades later, @RollingStone reports.
