@drymifolia @forensicgarlic We agree that the system is broken. If you read earlier in this thread, you'll see what my professional background is relating to the topic. I have been actively working to end the #PrisonPipeline system for years. I am open to healthy discussion about how we can move forward as a society, but I'm not convinced a simple either-or answer will fix what ails America.

@meoutloud I hear your concerns about not wanting to promote -isms within education. For the better part of the last decade (pre-covid) my work focus was split between the needs of profoundly gifted kids (think kids who start college as early as 10) and kids/teens caught up in the juvenile justice system (often mis-served by public school #SpEd).
