I have been actively working to end the #PrisonPipeline system for years. I am open to healthy discussion about how we can move forward as a society, but I'm not convinced a simple either-or answer will fix what ails America.

An Illinois school for students with disabilities has routinely used the police to handle discipline, resulting in the highest arrest rate of any district in the country. In one recent year, half of Garrison School students were arrested.
@meoutloud I hear your concerns about not wanting to promote -isms within education. For the better part of the last decade (pre-covid) my work focus was split between the needs of profoundly gifted kids (think kids who start college as early as 10) and kids/teens caught up in the juvenile justice system (often mis-served by public school #SpEd).
