Yesterday I went to see the 'World Press Photo Exhibition 2024' in Oldenburg, Germany. FYI: The #WorldPressPhoto Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Founded in 1955, the organization holds the annual World Press Photo Contest for #PressPhotography. These are last year's winners: https://www.worldpressphoto.org/collection/photocontest/2024
Their pictures hurt. They show #war, #pollution, #discrimination, #racism, #dementia, #climatechange, crimes against #queer people etc.
I will show you some pictures, not the shocking ones though. At the entrance to the exhibition is a sign with a trigger warning. Which is necessary, trust me. I will never understand why humans hurt eachother and the planet we have the privilege to live on!
Here are links to two projects of which photos can be seen at the exhibition:

If you have the chance to see this exhibition, do it!

I went on 'Silent Tuesday'. Silent because you are only allowed to whisper (if you have to talk at all). It is for neurodivergent people. Great service!

Thanks for reading!

Under the banner of "J'accuse", the road between Ficoba and Pausu in Irun has been completed by the demonstrations that have called for the withdrawal of the charges against the seven activists accused of helping migrants.
