Today I'm a little sombre because I learned that my old #archaeology lecturer, Prof Tim Darvill, passed away this weekend from cancer.

I only had intermittent contact with him throughout my first degree but things I remember that you should know are:
- He was always hopeful, in all that he did
- He always had time for you and your ideas
- He played guitar in The Standing Stones

As a bonus he was also an eminent #prehistorian, #archaeologist, author, and #Stonehenge expert.

Rest well, Tim.

Finally got the time for a little #introduction.

I’m a #prehistorian interested in settlement #archaeology and early #urbanism using #geophysics and modelling #palaeodemography.

Since 2012 I am involved in researching #Trypillia #megasites in #Ukraine.

Besides the typical stuff like #GIS and #python I like diving into personal knowledge management systems #pkms as #obsidianmd or obscure Pop-cultural references.
