Nein, ursprünglich wurde das hier bei uns im #Münsterland, genauer gesagt in #Ennigerloh erfunden. Hier sieht man eine der ursprünglichen Formen wobei alt Zeit (Steinstapel) auf neue Zeit (Windrad) treffen.

Oldest one in the States! Made of concrete. Made by Sam Hill to honor soldiers who died in WW1 but also to imply that they were being sacrificed by the government as if on a pagan altar, so it was also a monument to peace. (Back when people thought human sacrifice was practiced at #Stonehenge.)
