Are you, as too many scientists today, a conservative "Fear of the Future Bias" victim (statistical predictive processing obsession)?!
Better than a crystal ball, read

Our online discussion with Kate Nave is happening TODAY (Thursday, Feb 13) at 5pm (CET). We'll be talking about her book "A Drive to Survive - the Free Energy Principle and the Meaning of Life" (https://mitpress.mit.edu/9780262551328/a-drive-to-survive) and, in particular, why life is all about sensemaking and self-manufacture, not inference. All welcome! Last chance to register: https://univienna.zoom.us/meeting/register/MNY8_FOGTxOOfiz05WuV8A
We live in a world where #artists #predict the #future through #writing, #painting, #singing, and #directing
We see possible futures that may happen, and we tell the world.
The world seems hellbent on choosing the wrong ones, with no intention of avoiding them.
What's worse is that some of those same artists, instead of leading, follow the world and do the same: nothing.
Why? Because it is too #inconvenient, not artistic to protest, etc. Protests are expression.
