As some of you know, I went to the hospital a while back and they found a mass on my ovary. Yesterday, I had surgery, and they confirmed that yes, it is cancerous. Things have not yet been planned as the staging and the type of cancer needs to be identified. I'll fight this all the way.

I had 34 staples and several stitches removed from my knee and leg today. And you know what? It didn't hurt a bit. I feel free. Now it's a week of steri-strips and then my leg gets to be au naturel.

I got an A+ rating on my progress from both the doctor and physical therapist. I still have a long road ahead of me, but it seems I'm starting out well.

I took the bandage off my knee. Oh boy is my leg ugly! Like Frankenstein ugly. Staples galore and stitches. And so much bruising! I took a photo of my leg for personal keepsake. (I won’t be sharing the photo because it’s the stuff of nightmares.)
