A 2020 cross-sectional study from Decharat and Kiddee identified a battery of self-reported #health symptoms incl. blurred vision, extremity numbness, headaches, & rash/itching from #Thai #WEEE #recycling #workers exposed to heavy trace metals. Health outcomes appeared to be assoc. with irreg. use of or non-standardised #PPE, absence of proper engineering controls, & limited govt. occupational #policyinterventions w/insufficient compliance and enforcement mechanism(s).
