One thing this holiday's trip was good for was letting me know how fast my #EV can actually charge. Sadly, it seems to max at 102kWh and only between 20% and 50% charge. So. now I know that I don't need to look for super- or ultra-fast stations, I just need fast DC.

Also learned that not all charging stations show up in every app (not even
#PlugShare). Worse, even if you use a specific network's app, the free/busy status for one of their stations may not be accurate (especially #ElectrifyAmerica, seemingly).

After getting my
#EV, I downloaded #PlugShare app. I the nconstructed routes to my most frequent long distance destinations. That allowed me to identify networks on my most likely paths.

Six networks were on those paths. Only one network wanted me to preload funds: I decided I'd simply avoid that network. The rest linked either to my credit cards, my eWallet or both. After setting up the remaining five, I discovered that a few of them had cross billing relationships with other networks, meaning I actually only required about half the apps. ...And some EV makes have integrations with some networks such that, after initial setup, you no longer need the app to start a charging session.

Yeah, the situation sucks, but it's getting better.
@feld I pay my $1.99AUD per month for that as it perfect for infrequent needs at that price. #plugshare
Anyone know of a good Bluey feed for Electric Vehicles? Continuing my rant from Monday on my drive betwn VA and NJ. VA and MD - great for non-Tesla Ev. DE sucks and NJ even worse for non-Tesla. #PlugShare is a very helpful app for #EV travels/charging options. #electricvehicle Oh yea Eff Elon.

It's funny when the owner of an EV charging station gets it removed from the map on #Plugshare but you know the spot and just keep using it anyway.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm broadcasting to the world I managed to use a charger successful even though the usual medium for doing so isn't cooperating.

This is really weird - this EVgo charging station is

- fully occupied (all CCS ports) according to EVgo app
- 2 CCS ports available according to PlugShare app……

Who should I trust??? It’s hard to believe it’s all in use in the middle of night in a very rural / suburban town.

#eAuto

AAOS integration brings ABRP onto the dash of more vehicles, that's not really useful since most of those vehicles will probably actively use Google Maps.

What it does is share vehicle data. This should make planning more accurate, however modifying plans while driving, if possible, is horrible because of the ABRP UI.

The plan remains, ABRP for trip planning. Google for navigation. PlugShare and charge network apps for picking chargers on the fly.

@rob @jan #Plugshare lists 10, mostly without confirmed status. For the size of the city, that's ridiculous. But frankly, there's hardly any #EV sales in Czechia, even compared to it's other Central European neighbours. And compared to Germany and Austria, well.
