Another painting from my dad’s garden. This one took me just around 1 - 1.5 hours. 24x18 cm

Day 14 #ArtAdventCalendar
I can't believe I forgot to include this one from the 2008 paintings. Most of my plant paintings from 2008 - 2009 are from reference photos I took at the botanical gardens in Tartu, Estonia.
"Rheum", oil on canvas, 70 cm x 120 cm, 2008 (sadly, still in my closet, though it's been around Finland in exhibitions)
Day 11 #ArtAdventCalendar
"Heuchera", oil on canvas, 99 cm x 84 cm, 2008. A crowded composition of opaque, overlapping amorphous shapes, loosely derived from the Heuchera sanguinea plant (korallikeijunkukka, coral bells)
Day 5 #ArtAdventCalendar
Pond VI, acrylic on canvas, 40 cm x 40 cm, 2006
Day 4 #ArtAdventCalendar
"Pond IV" acrylic on stretched canvas, 50 cm x 40 cm, 2006
It's called pond because it's depicting plant matter floating on a pond's surface. I think. I didn't leave myself notes for this painting series.
Day 3 #ArtAdventCalendar amongst other things I've pulled out of the closet (why, oh why, do we have to hold on to my husband's old high school workbooks?):
"Pond I", acrylic on canvas, 38 cm x 46 cm, 2006
My first foray into my abstracted plant form work. #Art #AcrylicPainting #PlantPainting
