The gig where my puck is from, apparently they didn’t even organize any collection points for recycling.

Blows my mind to think that there’s like several tens of thousands of these things getting tossed to trash after a gig.

Opened the #Pixmob puck. Runs on two CR2032 batteries so yeah at least that much generic & swappable. What’s presumably a microcontroller, it’s identifiers have been etched off.

I’m glad I attended the concert twice so I could get two Pixmob bracelets. I want to try out some of the reverse engineering efforts to build an infrared blaster to control them, if possible. When the concert ended, it seems they blasted a command to put them into a permanent colour loop, which is fun! I don’t want to lose that on both if I mess one up.
