Analyticsdienst Piwik Pro kost vanaf december minimaal 35 euro per maand

Analyticsdienst Piwik Pro is binnenkort niet meer gratis te gebruiken. Het bedrijf stopt met het Core-abonnement, waarvoor gebruikers niets betaalden. In plaats daarvan komen er nieuwe abonnementen voor kleine en grote bedrijven. Die beginnen bij 35 euro per maand.

Yliopiston Apteekki fined over 1 M€ by the #privacy authority of #Finland for using #GoogleAnalytics and #Facebook trackers on its website. Looks like they switched to #Piwik now.

(This is perhaps the largest online and physical retail pharmacy in the country, with over 250 M€/y in revenues.)

I mean there's rarely any "added value" in using these.

Like there's hardly any necessity for SSO on something like a restaurant or shop's website, much less need for analytics beyond what #Matomoto nee. #Piwik can do by looking at the webserver logs...

And even that would be overkill since SMEs won't actually optimize their website - heck most large enterprises don't even do that if you surf from #EDGEland...
