Another eraser carving experiment: I drew a stylized version of the mask from Princess Mononoke in Inkscape, painted the eraser blue to better see where I had carved, then transferred a laser print of it to the eraser with acetone. I did pretty much all of the carving with the lino knife this time. I think it came out pretty well!

Another quick eraser stamp carving! This soot sprite is in honor of the TTRPG community's annual Monster Week's fae theme.

I carved a version of my retro rocket design into an eraser to make a stamp!

I saw other people making stamps like this, and wanted to give it a try. I cut a little square of MDF as a holder to increase the distance between my fingers and the sharp tools while carving. I transferred a laser print of my design using acetone and went to work. Seems pretty okay for a first attempt!

This baby huntsman spider was fascinated with my first pink eraser prints, and stayed for hours. The next day I decided to ease him out of his reverie (he was staring in the direction of the bee) with a high five to the leg he was holding up. (I went extremely slowly with my finger tip until it touched the tip of his leg.) He pulled the leg back momentarily but didn’t seem bothered. I then then moved my finger forward again, but this time stopped short just underneath his leg to see if he would tap me back, and he did. Made my day. I decided to put him on a flower outside as a thank you. He was hesitant at first to leave the paper, but when I found the right flower, he scrambled on. #pinkeraserart #insectencounters #spider #linocut
