Finally found the time to install a #PicoBoot into my #Nintendo #Gamecube. Wanted to do that for almost a year since the optical drive is on its last legs. It still works and I want to retain the possibility of using real discs, but the laser had to be tweaked to its maximum already for it to still read discs. So not much life left in it probably.

Anyway, now it boots directly into SWISS from an SD2SP2. 🥳

Quite a tight fit, however.

Finished a #picoboot install for someone. Got me scratching my head for a while, it just would not detect it. After googling a bit I found someone with a similar problem who solved it by downgrading to picoboot 0.3 (from 0.4). That worked for me. #retrogaming #gamecube

Definitely wasn't there, ended up taking it from another #gamecube. All finished now. Going to play Donkey Conga with the kids and then put it up for sale. Got two Conga controllers recently in a box full of crap from Japan. #picoboot

Slowly getting my soldering mojo back by modding my #Gamecube with a #PicoBoot.
Finally got it to work after noticing the solder jumper on the back for the 3.3V supply.🙄

Der GameCube ist die erste Spielkonsole, für die ich seinerzeit eigenes Geld ausgegeben habe. Weil der mir aber vor Jahren gestohlen wurde, habe ich mir auf eBay einen neuen DOL-001 gekauft, den ich nun aufmotze. Es gibt einen HDMI Ausgang, eine riesige SD-Karte und Bluetooth-Controller Support

Got myself a nice spice orange #gamecube with matching #gameboyplayer. Did my first picoboot install. Everything works (after trimming the wires shorter). Now to make a list of worthy games to install on the sd card. Suggestions?
