I've had this bike for about 28 years and today's short ride was a test of the new chain idler that I just installed. When I bought it I thought the choice of a skateboard wheel as an idler was a bit weird, but 28 years of faultless performance before it finally started falling apart on a ride on Saturday can't be sniffed at.
