A month and a half after evacuations meter hours before everything was incinerated in the #August_Complex fires.
A #waxing_moon following the dissipation of smoke and other toxins that settled and lingered along the coastline of #Humboldt_Bay, where I made my new home for the next two years...
A #waxing_moon that signals #new_beginnings and emergence from tragedy.
New beginnings mean novel possibilities, and hopes of eventualities that did finally bring me home to #SuperSunnySouthernCalifornia in another two and a half years.
I can live without the #redwoods, and I can always visit, but not knowing I needed #sand, #surf, #seagulls, and #palm_trees ๐ด was a revelation, and a joyous realization.

tallshipI woke up Monday and while lying on my bed during my waking moments, looked up through my bedroom window to see this.
Odd, that it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't seen a ๐ด palm tree in six years.
I'm finally back home in #SuperSunnySouthernCalifornia ๐
This pic, I took just a few minutes ago on the balcony. To the west is Catalina Island, outside my other bedroom window.
