On the Beaches of Super Sunny Southern California
WinterBean - Keeping the beanstalk alive in the winter, snacking on the pods intertwining above my desk at the window
A great, heart healthy meal.

Compliant with the functional morphology of Homo sapiens.
Wow, I knew that I hadn't many photos of my solar panels, but I know there's at least a couple of short vids with them when I did a panorama of my yard somewhere.

I'll try and dig up some more, but I rarely used the one on the right. The panels on the left are two panels wide and you can gauge how large, or small rather, the entire array was... It powered my entire cabin, 3 Deep freezes where I kept the meat that I killed, one of them a DC freezer - I tried to empty the AC freezers before winter each year because it required a lot of sunlight to run those. My extra large refrigerator was a DC fridge too. There may be pics of that here somewhere as well, or I'll try to screenshot it from a kitchen video.

My garden as you can see, prolly summer 2017, is obviously before I learned the hard way that those cute deer are actually Satan. Eventually, the perimeter of my garden looked like Omaha Beach on D-Day in Normandy with ragged, sharp shards of steel, rebar, and wire fencing guaranteed to impale and break the legs of any deer that dared to jump over the 10' perimeter fence surrounding my garden, which itself was surrounded by a solar powered electrified ribbon fence.

If one does become entangled in that mess, you have to wait for a considerable time until they realize they're fucked and resolve to just calm down and accept their fate - at that time you can shoot them in the heart.

Why? Because if you kill them while the adrenaline is still pumping through their body your venison is going to be less than yummy - to say the least.

So there's other pictures here of my huge, two story cabin, so you can get a picture of just how much those solar panels actually provided me. My battery banks provided enough storage to keep my household running (TV/cellular amp/Internet too) for about 4 days, after which I had to switch to gas or diesel gensets to charge them up.

House lights were a mixture of AC and DC.

I hope that helps!

January 7th 2023 @ 3500' - #Humboldt, #California.

In another month the snow will be as high as my shoulders - you better have several cords of bucked logs, preferably already split ๐Ÿชต๐Ÿช“

That's my truck ๐Ÿ›ป parked by a water tank, and it will be buried under the enormous amount of snowfall we experienced that winter.

Lots of fucking and TV binging and you always have to keep the furnace stoked 24/7 for warmth. Sleeping in bed with a couple of wolves also helps to keep you warm.

July 12th 2018 - 8 Mile hottie invited me back to her place after closing down the Mad River Bar. Yummy girl, early twenties, and I was enamored of her Browning High Power tattoo running down to her pussy.

We enjoyed the company of each other well into the next evening and then I made my way back home to my mountain abode.

I never visited her again, al though she did call a few times. I felt it best if she didn't know where my cabin was, sensing she might become attached and I didn't need any extra baggage that left me figuring on how to get her to leave.

I've often wondered if that would have been a bad thing, but her trailer was in total disarray, and her boyfriend was sleeping in the bedroom next door while we were banging it out all night and into the next day so having some broad that I had to take care of that held so little self respect for herself wasn't all that appealing to me at the time.

Had she been the sort of girl that seemed to have some utility, like being able to run a chainsaw, split logs ๐Ÿชต๐Ÿช“, and tend a garden, I might have invited that little humping machine to stay with me on my homestead, but I just had the distinct feeling that all she'd ultimately be worth was renting her out and that's not a lucrative proposition when your so remote in the wilderness that the nearest humans are miles away.

Still, I did love that she was littered with tattoos and piercings in all the naughtiest of places, with a willing, adventuresome spirit, and good for quite a few more miles I could have driven her for.

The Browning High Power wasn't my absolute fav tattoo she sported, although it is obviously awesome, but others were really filthy and in places I really can't post ๐Ÿ˜Ž

And really, I'm actually more of an M1911 kinda guy anyway ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿค˜

Overlooking the vast chasms and concentric ridges separating the cliff in my backyard and a couple of distant ranges.

Well, the attrib is below. So I'm not gonna enter alt-txt for this. Brenda Brabook took the pic a could of years ago. The Mad River Burger Bar is one of only the buildings in the town of Mad River in Humboldt.

It's actually a trailer

The green building next door to the right is the post office and the other building is a meat market / butcher shop and actual wine and beer bar.

October 28th, 2019 - Highway 36, Humboldt, California.

With the season coming to a close, them trimmigrants can't be choosey about where they're gonna hibernate for the winter โ„๏ธ

Seen along the way to the #Mad_River Bar - a town, if you will, with 3 buildings in it; a bar, a post office the size of a closet, and a butcher shop. There's also the "Mad River Burger Bar", a locally famous trailer on jack stands that sells takeout burgers ๐Ÿ” & fries ๐ŸŸ

Roast Fish Cornbread installation in Torrance (Los Angeles). An international event by Kyle William Harper.

This old lockout music studio received a facelift of free paint by street scene artists from around the world. This one by *Soup* and others by him especially impressed me.

5 bands performed at the event (not that there was any shortage). More of Kyle's work is available at his website.

August 11th, 2020 - My final month on the mountain before the fires of the August Complex came and dashed everything away.

As you can see, my bountiful garden was thriving, with more than I could consume myself - it was wonderful.
