We used to have a full-resolution version of these photos, but sadly, lost to the sands of time. I think they were on a USB stick that quietly bitrotted in a drawer.

But, the thought occurred to me, my mother likes paint-by-numbers, could we turn one of these into a paint-by-numbers puzzle? Turns out, yes.

I used The Gimp and its "Oilify" plug-in to get a rough approximation of what we were after. From there, I stumbled on https://pbnify.com/ which allowed me to convert it to a rough paint-by-numbers puzzle.

We'll have to mix the paints ourselves, but this is I think a nice personal tribute to a much loved and missed pet.
