Today at #aswf #opensourcedays was great. Some great talks (Anders had a ton of great info on lights in USD), but the conversations were make these things indispensable.
Such a great, engaged community.
Nothing like going to SIGGRAPH to feel both old (which is fine - I am) but also the warm glow of éminence grise-ness (not a phrase, I know).
My first SIGGRAPH was 1987 when I was working at NCSA.
I worked for the late, great Nancy St. John, who literally introduced me to everyone (you could still do that back then).
Such a gift that I still get to go for work.
