Once upon a time when we rented DVDs from special shops, we rented The Men Who Stare At Goats. Very funny, some top actors. I picked up a DVD of it from an op shop last year, and we just watched it again last night.
Solid pisstake of gung-ho military meets hippy psychics. Well acted by all. A bit of a sausage fest, very few women get a look-in, but maybe that's a feature not a bug.

Op shop at risk of closure after donation leaves volunteer 'traumatised'
In short:
The Daylesford Community Op Shop has temporarily closed due to a donation infested with bed bugs.
The store has lost thousands of dollarsâ worth of items and spent about $3,000 on cleaning services so far.
Whatâs next?
The store cannot reopen until two further deep cleans have been completed and there are fears the financial impact will be too much to overcome.
Last night we watched the 2001 movie Amelie, a rewatch but it's been quite a few years since the last times. Still holds up, still at least a 9/10. A true masterpiece from Jean-Pierre Junet.
And since it's a DVD, we can watch it again any time. Thanks, #OpShop!

At a tiny Parisian café, the adorable yet painfully shy Amélie accidentally discovers a gift for helping others. Soon Amelie is spending her days as a matchmaker, guardian angel, and all-around do-gooder. But when she bumps into a handsome stranger, will she find the courage to become the star of her very own love story?
Picked up another CD from an op shop yesterday, and it's a lovely collection of jazz from artists around the world. Mostly not sung in English, quite a few old standards, great work by all. First time I've heard a jazz song te reo MÄori. $2 I think.
It's produced by Putumayo World Music, who have quite the story themselves. Interested to pick up some more from them.
