Thanks to the Portuguese control of the transportation of books (aka censorship), I now have the catalogue of the library of an ancestor who moved to Brazil in 1799. 41 books needed for his work, he says on the authorisation request. It's very exciting to have this sort of insight into the past. #library #archives #oldrecords #genealogy #portugal #history

This record has some of his brightest songs with his top notch band. He left us too soon.
