After watching Gone In 60 Seconds last night
(#oldfavourite), I have realised that Sphinx would never have harmed the dog that ate the keys. He was simply implying that he could cut the dog open, remove the keys, and stitch him back up again. As a morgue worker, he would likely have a decent understanding of internal organs at worst, and have performed autopsies at best. He would have been able to retrieve the keys quickly, surgically, probably saving them MUCH needed time. However, as it put the young ones to work instead and freed him and others for simultaneous boosts, it was probably better they took the path they did.
