I decided to listen to Blessed Ethel. I saw them twice in the 90s at the Princess Charlotte and bought a t-shirt (I loved the t-shirt but left it on the Tube a couple of decades ago), and eventually bought their album.

They don't seem to be officially on popular streaming services unfortunately. Like many 90s bands that I liked, Wikipedia deleted their page.

Such a weird alternate pop universe thing that Top of the Pops makes such a fuss over the debut of These Animal Men, trailing it at the start of the show, and fail to get at all excited over the debut performance of Oasis.
