I can see the Wenger “Daylight” offside rule being implemented all over the world.
Since the addition of VAR in many top leagues we’ve see way too many goals cancelled out because of a single millimetre of toe from the attacker being in front of the last defender.
The new Wenger rule is being implemented in the CPL this season and I have a feeling it’ll be welcomed in other leagues very soon.

The CPL is also testing out a rugby-style football review system where the manager can contest two calls per match.

The latest addition to the National Security Law in Hong Kong truly worries me.

Getting punished for not decrypting or unlocking your own device, even if you're simply transiting through HKG, is a severe breach of privacy as well as personal integrity and is yet another sign of the worsening situation in Hong Kong.

This new addition has also taken account for duress passwords, which may give double the punishment compared to simply refusing to unlock the device.

Not gonna lie, I am once again feeling smug that our nascent national soccer leagues (both the Men's #CanPL and Women's #NSL ) are made up entirely of Canadian teams playing here and with requirements to drive domestic talent growth while "Canada's game" (both Men's and Women's) is focused almost entirely on US owned leagues playing with mostly US teams.

I love seeing more cross-league matches in women’s football (soccer). Now that Canada’s Northern Super League #NSL is about to start its second season (in April) a few teams are having pre-season matches against #NWSL teams.

Ottawa Rapid (one of the most fun teams to watch in the NSL last season and who just so happens to have a lesbian coach) will play Bay FC April 17th. I hope they broadcast it online.
