@kcinimod Thanks, but unfortunately that didn't do anything. I still run the commands that are being blocked and there is nothing showing up in audit.log

The thing is I'm trying to execute this through #nagios' #NRPE. If I run the command on localhost it works, but when I try to run it remotely it fails, and it doesn't even fail like it won't run, I get a message back saying my parameters are wrong, but in the event I set 'setenforce 0' then everything works great. It is all very confusing.

With TrueNAS 12 finally supporting key-based access to their API, I'll be adding support for that to my check_freenas_api tool!

Maybe a change in the project name is also warranted given the merger of True and Free.

Anybody got a list of !monitoring tools that support #nrpe? I'd like to list them all in the poorly named P4Nagios. !vcs

!monitoring makes a lot more sense than using #nrpe as an alias, so yay!

I suppose I can say this now without really being biased, although I am still an employee. Plenty of people at !nagios really do care about open source. Nagios does, of course, employ people to work on and support the entirely #GPL Nagios Core, which is completely usable (and as far as performance is concerned, better than the commercial product anyway)

#NRPE is also completely GPL and used by our commercial product and developed and supported by the company. The plugins are open source (licenses on github).

The #NCPA licensed is designed specifically to prevent #icinga and icinga wannabes from using it (op5, naemon...possibly others) and so that's a bit of open washing, but the code is all out there and you can hack on it for your own needs.

I wish someone would extent the olive branch, and there is still some cross discussion in back-channels. It's not very much, but it's there. Maybe, someday someone can bridge the gap.
