Sometimes I end up working extra late and just want some quick supper. This is one of my reliable quick recipes. Honey roasted Feta with some sort of bread thing. Yes, literally a block of cheese for supper #GirlDinner

I tend to stay gluten free due to a partner that has an allergy. She requested that I make the bread part softer if possible. Actual dialogue afterwards:

> "So soft!"
> "I'm pretty good at making things go soft sometimes"
> "A being of many talents" (muffled by the bread and giggles)

How does one make prepackaged bread soft?

- Get it wet
- Heat it up
- Add some oil/fat/slippery stuff
- Flip it
- Heat it
- Spread out the oils and add more if needed
- Flip it again
- Spread the fluids some more
- Heat it
- Eat it, appreciating the softness of the flesh, savoring the texture on your lips and flavor on your tongue.

For folks that want some extra clarity:

Moisture helps introduce softness. But not too much. I basically patted it down with water. Heating it a bit allows the water to absorb a bit faster and just sort of kick starts the whole thing. If using a fat like butter or ghee, they're easier to apply on a warmed up bread than a cool and clammy one.

If using dough it's a bit different, but you'd still be adding moisture and fats. Fats to help control how much structure is formed (it lowers gluten production if using a gluteny dough) and a moisture ratio to help determine flakiness.

It gets quite a bit more complicated than that, but it's one of the first things I learned as a child when fascinated by my aunties and grandma turning basically powder into a dough ball that we could then eat after running through fire. Earth, water, air and fire are all used at different stages in the ritual of bread making.

Since I haven't been on in a while, here's a post to let y'all know I'm okay. My spoons got scooped up by life and work things. It's just frustrating when it happens without warning, but also not what the post is about.

Anyway, it's been a bit chilly the past week or so. Sub-Zero temps (fahrenheit) and lots of snow. There was a 100+ car pileup not far from me the other day. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

I've been shoveling snow and breaking icicles a bunch. My fingers go numb very quickly despite thick gloves and hit hands. I might make a post for glove recs at some point soon depending on if I find something or not by the weekend.

It's also difficult to think when you run in from subzero to more livable temps, and your glasses fog up, and you can't get your boots, and outerwear off quickly enough.

Today, I took a break halfway (It's a significant amount of shoveling area and multiple feet of snow each time). My brain kicked in, but still not fast enough. It was only after I had finished peeling the sweat dampened drapey tank from my skin that I realized I really should have recorded that for the Fedi folks that like wet fabric being removed from toned torsos. Especially with flannel outer layers.

While I'll try to remember for next time, here's the rest of the aftermath as a sort of #PeekABoob

We also shaded the leaves of the vine on my back and in my opinion it gives it texture and depth. I'm a fan of the treble clef snuck in there as well as just how the vine happens to align with the tentacle holding the egg.

So, this is actually just a preview for some #AltAfterDark posts (with much better angles imo) in my queue. These will be in addition to the remainder of the last guest enrichment sequence I left off on.

I try to test some harnesses on myself before rope bottoms. Obviously, it's impractical to do this depending on the tie, but it's good to understand the different quirks.

This is a _sloppy_ execution. In my defense, horizontal dominant torso ties are really tricky to get right as a self tie, especially the first time. This is because it's nearly impossible to keep the correct tension during the tie given all the twisting and contorting involved. But, here it is!

My nipples are _very_ sensitive at baseline. If the wind hits them weird I might squeak and need to shield them. I waited until the tie was complete to actually arrange them on the nips to minimize the time. I think I overloaded my nerve circuits because not only did I taste the echo of the body wide sensations for hours afterwards, but I can literally conjure up a vivid memory looking at this photo.   

So, you know, very useful information to have when applying it to a scene bottom.
