I used to run Miniflux and it was OK, if a bit minimalist. These days I prefer #NextcloudNews, although obviously that requires a #Nextcloud instance.
Has someone figured out a way to connect my #NextCloudNews with #Thunderbird? (I know I can just export the #OPML, but I'd like to have read status synchronised)

I wasn't happy with how the #NextCloudNews Android app performed on my #Furilabs #FLX1, so I thought about writing a simple GTK4 Linux application for NextCloud News in Rust.
Turns out #NewsFlash already has NextCloud News support and also perfectly adapts to phones. There are some performance issues, but looks like I now have to find a different project to finally dust off my programming skills.
Was seriously looking for a replacement for Nextcloud News given it hadn't been touched in ages and had a bunch of UI bugs that made it nearly unusable for me.
And they went and dropped a new versions that fixes everything!
lmao there is even an option in the settings "mark as read while scrolling" 😑
it looks to me like having 0 items as unread is some kind of goal?
please, I'm the user, I use the app the way I want, and I don't want to mark items as read when I haven't read them 😆 this is clearly a design issue 😆
Makes me feel like I'm using software that is meant for Apple users, where there is ONE WAY to use it and doing things in a different way will get you punished 😂
