To challenge myself I have cast on a lace shawl. I have gotten the first repeat of the body done properly.
I have a lifeline inserted at the current point, and I had one a bit further down initially as well, and that was good as I messed up stitch count and had to frog to the initial lifeline a couple times before I got it right. Sadly that means that the tension is a bit off at the point I frogged to, but hopefully that will be less visible after blocking, I did try to pull the worst stitches some.

Image description (alt text gets cut off): A shawl in its start, it is a off white yarn. The left side of the shawl is garter stitch, the right side is a lace pattern, it is not split at the dead center, the garter stitch side is a bit wider.
A large blue safety pin stitch marker is in the bottom center, three smaller ones are spaced out on the needle, greens at the edges and a blue in the division between sections.
