Fentanyl / Soap Eater

See Scape, Wednesday, May 27 at 07:00 PM EDT

FENTANYL return to Toronto, May 27th!

Bay Area bad boys are finally hitting Toronto for the first time since dropping their atomic bomb of a debut LP for Convulse at the end of 2024. Where many contemporary acts lean into the NYHC sound, FENTANYL stay firmly in the hardcore punk lane - pounding drums, snotty delivery, razor sharp riffs.

Should be a rowdy Wednesday!

No Advance . NOTAFLOF!

Deceased / Zero Tolerance / Buff (NDY #940)

Toronto Style, Saturday, May 2 at 08:00 PM EDT

Death/Thrash progenitors DECEASED return to Toronto, May 2nd!

For nearly 40 years, King Fowley’s Virginia thrash assault has been among the most prolific in the underground - cutting their teeth in the emergent days of extreme metal with no desire to relent. The first band ever to sign to Relapse Records, DECEASED spent the 90s delivering slab after slab of their unique blend of death and thrash. To say they have been prolific would be a gross understatement. Few so dedicated!

They'll be joined by Hamilton's young thrash masters ZERO TOLERANCE, and the Brampton pit activators in BUFF.

No advanced tickets! No one turned away for lack of funds!

Dark Thoughts (NDY #965)

EAGLES AERIE 2311, Saturday, June 20 at 07:30 PM EDT

DARK THOUGHTS are back in Toronto, June 20th! At a new (to us) venue!

We love DARK THOUGHTS. If you've been following us for any period of time, you know this. Pitch perfect, spiritual RAMONES worship. Songs about love, and nonsense, played lock-tight, downstrokes only. Among our favourite contemporary bands.

We haven't had a DARK THOUGHTS headliner in a while, so we figured why not do it special-style and throw it at the EAGLES AERIE 2311, a hall located on Elm Street, mere steps from Yonge and Dundas. Yup, you read that right.

Hot Load / Pink Mist / Zero Bars / Doorstep Fire (NDY #921)

Bsmt 254, Monday, April 13 at 07:00 PM EDT

HOT LOAD from LA hit Toronto on April 13!

After delivering a debut LP that is absolutely blazing, HOT LOAD are heading east with their friends in PINK MIST. THE LOAD play punk music in the HCPMF fashion, thrashing riffs, pounding drums and that maniac attitude. Some might say it’s crazy to unleash them in the Rat’s Nest but we think you can handle it.

They’ll be joined by the rippers in ZERO BARS, and the miscreants of DOORSTEP FIRE. How’s that for a Monday?

No advanced tickets, no one turned away for lack of funds!

Earth Crisis / All Out War / Holder (NDY #945)

Hard Luck Bar, Saturday, May 9 at 07:00 PM EDT

EARTH CRISIS celebrate 30 years of "Gommorah's Season Ends" at Hard Luck, May 9th!

Legends of Syracuse Vegan Straight Edge, EARTH CRISIS are finally making their return to Toronto. Love'em or hate'em, few bands can claim the impact EARTH CRISIS had on hardcore in the 90s. Their militant approach to Straight Edge picked up where JUDGE left off and fundamentally redefined the movement. And while they certainly left legions of sellouts and clones in their wake, EARTH CRISIS' influence is still enormous years on. They return to Toronto as part of a special series of shows celebrating their monumental "Gommorah's Season Ends" LP - a record that saw them reach deeper into their metallic influences than ever before.

They'll be joined by their contemporaries ALL OUT WAR, another legendary upstate NY act, whose "For Those Who Were Crucified" stands as one of the greatest metalcore LPs of the 90s. A band of immense power.

And of course, DAZE records up and comers HOLDER will be opening the show. Over the past few years, they've quickly gained a reputation for wildly chaotic live shows amongst the current metalcore revival.

Tickets on sale March 27 at 10am! Don't snooze!

St. Stephen-in-the-fields, Wednesday, May 13 at 07:00 PM EDT

ONE LEG ONE EYE & EFRIM MANUEL MANUCK play St. Stephen-in-the-Field, May 13th!

The slow burn of Ian Lynch & George Brennan, ONE LEG ONE EYE, is coming back to Toronto this spring. After a sold out performance at BSMT 254, where the duo’s singular drone tested the limits of the space, they return to the nave at St. Stephen-in-the-Field to shake the walls with resonant sound.

They ride with EFRIM MANUEL MANUCK, of GYBE! & Thee Silver Mt. Zion, a legend of the Canadian underground, carrying a storied reputation as a true experimenter of the highest order.

They’ll be joined by our own legend ANDREW NOLAN, whose own work began with aggressive dirge, now morphed into hypnotic dub. An evening of stories told, and stories anew.
