Wildflowers today were off the hook. Mostly Balsamorhiza sagittata (arrowhead balsamroot) but also loads of lupines and Lomatiums (at least three different species) — and poison oak.

Remember, one person’s holiday may be another’s day of morning – and often is.
Holidays are about commemorating events. Some are intended to be happy, some are intended to be sad. There’s plenty of grief in the world, and feeling it is a valid method of commemoration. It can even be affirmatively healthy.
