It was a beautiful day on #MtBachelor. I hiked up to the true summit and operated for 28 minutes. Using the KH1 I got WU7H and WW7D Summit to Summit on 20m (rough copy). 40m was much better and I worked through a pileup of 10 ops. Everyone was booming. Then I jumped on 2m and got 4 more contacts including two Summit to Summit of 130+miles.
I was operating from a windbreak, but when I stepped out to pack up and snap a photo the wind chill was obvious. My phone dropped from 80% to 6% battery while taking the below photo.

Bluebird day on the mountain with cold temps and good snow. The summit looked very windy, so no dice on getting a SOTA Activation in. Had my KH1 in a fanny pack. #MtBachelor
Rolled the dice on skiing today. It was a bust. Took a morning shuttle up and most lifts were closed. Hung out for a while drinking coffee then skied two tiny runs of the one lift that was running on the side of the mountain I was on. Caught the noon bus back to town. As we pull onto the highway a bunch of the big ski lifts open π€¦

Beautiful morning. Got a couple laps on the cone before chairs started spinning. Snow is super sticky on the lower mountain. My BC skis definitely need fresh wax! #ski #MtBachelor
