RT by @EU_Partnerships: Last Friday, Virunga's monitoring teams and trackers, with Dr Fabrice of Gorilla Doctors, conducted a routine health check of the Wilungula troop. Thirty-six family members were observed and appeared to be in good health.⁠

Named after silverback Wilungula, the only named member of the family, the group is one of 11 gorilla families in the Park and, alongside the Baraka family, one of two groups still in the process of being habituated.⁠
