Holy cow, I didn't know #JimmyCarter died today.
I'm #Persian, so I can't give him a pass on how badly he fumbled relations with Iran, but most of my ire is directed to those responsible for the #Mossadeq / #Mossadegh coup of 1953, without which #Iran might still be a democratic and stable nation. All for lust of (unjustly) cheap oil, of course.
While I'm not particularly impressed by his presidency (for obvious reasons), I will speak loudly about his humanity, and his Christianity. A less than stellar president was an absolutely astounding human being, and that is what I will remember.
