to deftly navigate
the nocturnal stage

Just when I finally find
the elusive celestial groove
I trip and stumble
over that cruel

all the while pretending
my unscripted tumble
was part of the act

Fortunately
for humiliated me
this tragic scene
played out
in the middle of nowhere

So only the darkness
would bear witness
to yet another embarrassment
in my modest life
of perpetual awkwardness

Le mâtage et l'installation du gréement étaient en cours et j'en ai capté quelques détails, à défaut de le voir naviguer. Vivement juillet en baie de, Douarnenez !

#Moonbeam III, a magnificent sailing yacht built in 1903 at William #Fife’s Scottish shipyard, was launched again following a period of maintenance. The mast was being raised and the rigging fitted, and I managed to snap a few photos

Made this on the request of a frequent visitor to my booth at Friday Night Markets. Completed it on my livestream yesterday. It’s a Stygian Owl, known for it’s dark brown coloration, sharp ear tufts, and eyes that reflect glowing red. They’re sometimes called Devil Owls, and they’re found in Central and South America.

I feel like this bird is a lot more illustrative than I usually make, but I had a blast doing it! I’m doing a second version of this bird framed in Halloween-ish colors in an art nouveau gothic-like frame. Should be fun!

It POURED rain for a few hours before we got up this morning.

We really had no intention of getting up at any sort of reasonable time. We were nice and snuggled inside our beds and then there was a notification on my phone saying the rain was about to start again in 20 minutes.

AHHHHHHHH!

I hustled to the bathroom to pee because nothing was going to get put away properly if I didn’t.

Got this California Brown Pelican done on my livestream yesterday. It was a request by a couple of patrons who visited my booth a #FridayNightMarkets here in Eureka, CA (north of the Redwood Curtain).

I’m using it for a greeting card as well as another image I’ll be making today that frames it in a stylized Art Nouveau-esque package.
