"Being rather late before the Kamloops Horses were Crossed over and the Indians settled, began our march at 11 am & put up for the night at the River #MonteCreek where we leave the South Branch of Thompson's River to strike across for the Columbia. One dead following crash on Highway 97 near Monte Creek, B.C.

BC Highway Patrol confirmed Tuesday evening that one person has died following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 97 near Monte Creek.
