Disappointing end to the most recent #Minnesota bill to allow for #RankedChoiceVoting and #EvenYearElections for municipal governments. 3 Dems voted with all Republicans against. Hopefully a special session is called because a lot of bills are not getting passed in the next 10 hours, maybe even the #MNERA before the #MNSenate. #MNLeg #MNPol #USPol

I had a phone banker call me up to suggest coming to caucus in support of state Senate candidate. I said I hadn't properly considered all candidates yet, they said there may be one other but this is probably the best you'll get. Then I expressed concern that this candidate seems to be advertising the same "working across the aisle" nonsense that I hate about our current rep and I was hoping for a much more progressive candidate. They said "you'll probably need to move to Minneapolis for that." Didn't know Democrats were also the party of "if you don't like it here go somewhere else."
