Girl sees a lot of new mastodon instance admins posting about shock as bills come in.

She is slightly worried about her tiny mastodon instance having enough money to cover hosting costs.

Well-meaning public tells girl the perfect solution. Instead of donating to the mastodon project, they say, donate to her instance's admin.

But, she says to the well-meaning public, I am the instance admin.
