📱 Apple's RCS adoption sparks debate. RCS replaces SMS, offering features like longer messages, high-quality pictures, and read receipts. Good for user experience, but security concerns arise. RCS lacks default encryption, making messages vulnerable. Google's encryption in Messages is a positive step, but it's carrier-dependent. Apple pledges RCS support but rejects proprietary encryption, aiming for it in the standard. Collaboration is crucial for a secure, interoperable messaging future. GSMA needs a robust standard with modern crypto techniques. Urgency for privacy-focused messaging. 🤝🔐 #RCS #SecurityDebate #MessagingPrivacy
