Last one of the gouache mermaids I painted for ArtNouveau mermay2022! My personal favourite of the bunch. At this stage painting the hair was as much of a zen moment as it is when I'm painting hair or trees digitally.
Definitely would like to get back to this medium before the end of the year.

Wanted to make a piece for this year’s #mermay

Folded together with a nephew excited about origami, which was a lot of fun. :)

Folded from two sheets (2:2 and 1:2) coloured on only one side. Instructions in the book Origami Planet. About 60 steps, excluding symmetrical repetition.
This wasn't the easiest model, but also not the hardest. The instructions are clear and have a great quality IMHO.
