On another account I was once informed by a fedizen(fediverse citizen?) that there is a social media platform that is sort of "independent" from the ActivityPub protocol. That ActivityPub can be turned off and on at will or something like that.

Sounded interesting but at the time I was not ready to try new things so it remains a mystery to me to this day.

I'm not exactly searching for a "Mastodon Alternative" but somethiing that complements

J'adore mastodon hein, mais c'est vrai que sa domination et celle du fediverse (et parlons même pas de bluesky 🤬) a eclipsé d'autres technologies dont j'aurais aimé que les gens se saisissent, comme Twister, un microblogging en Peer2Peer.

Quand on parle souvent d'etre détenteurice de ses propres données, le Peer2Peer aurait dû être notre solution !

The site hosting one of my alt accounts is closing down in a few months, so I'm thinking of self-hosting my own mastodon/mastodon alternative.
Any suggestions or recommendations for something I can set up with a simple ‘docker compose up’?
I’ve tried GTS, but I'd prefer something with a web interface, as well as being able to add the account to the Ivory app.
